I will be going.

BTW, TCRA does not allow S2k's to run without a 4 point rollbar.

Would you even want to run a convertible on the track without a Rollbar? Those factory hoops are often shorter than your helmet. If you rollover, you are almost sure to be dead.

Having no walls around a track gives you a greater chance of rollovers compared to being stopped by a wall when you go off. Sometimes it's better to hit a wall than to rollover.

without a minium of a 6 point roll cage, the simple 4 point roll bar or whatever you want to call it would cause more harm than saftey. If safety was the true concern, convertables should not be allowed on the track unless they have a full cage, but whoever said that when you go out the track, you'll roll your car or mess it up in some way just because??? let's not forget that it's in the driver's hands, if the driver wants to take unnessary risks and do stupid things such as correcting a spin while going off into the dirt at 80mph, then yes...accidents will take place. But, if the point of going out is for a good time, not about proving something, then there should be no need for silly precautions.

BTW, andy...talked to vincent, he said it would be okay to run with out a 4 point roll bar if I was doing the school, but for the time trial, either a roll bar OR a hardtop would be enough. At one of TCRA's event at laguna seca, several s2ks ran without rollbars.

While I don't agree with the "let's not forget that it's in the driver's hands..." state ment, lets just agree to disagree So, will you be going?
