Hey, i was looking into getting a paintjob for my 94 gsr... its black but i will either get it repainted black... (color is a little faded)... or get the color changed completely.... I would prefer to change the door jambs and bay, but because its black, i dont mind if it's not... anyways... I live in southern NY... near NYC.. and i was considering a job at MAACO, i wanted to know if anyone has gotten a MAACO job and if u got pics of the car... i heard the prices start at 500 and go up from there... let me know any info u know... please post pics if u got them

I've seen some good paintjobs come from Maaco... If you pay for the better paint packages.

Here in Madison, I can think of a Viper, MKIV Supra and a whole lot of other nice cars with Maaco paintjobs that look pretty damned good

I payed 312 thats including tax, it was the presidential package.

i had their best paint package and it still peeled after a month. there was also drips all over the car. i had to take it back 4 times. i ended up just selling the damn car.

 

I want to paint my hatch white but body shop prices around here are outragous. I think I may have to go Maaco, cross my fingers and close my eyes.

From what I hear, some Maacos are better than others, I just wish I knew where the good ones are.

 

it all depends on where you go....mine didn't have any drips there was a lil overspray in the fenderwell lining, but that was easy to take care off

My car done at maaco, about 1 year and half ago, Im happy with it

 

dang that actually looks good. do they use clear coat and wet sand or not?

 

i had them paint my 85 cj-7 and they did a really good job, i ended up paying about $450.

i bought this car off ekninespooner, he had it painted at maaco but got the hookup on the paintjob.

but its still from macco.... look pretty damn good to me.

 

The only thing I didnt like about maaco was that the painted my grill white, I told the manager about it and they repaint the grill black for me for FREE!
