A good set of shocks.

Don't waste your money on tie bars - at least not if you're looking for some type of performance gain.

Jeff - you obviously dont get it. I mean really.....

You cant see a good set of shocks. If you have a set of koni 3012's on your car, who's gonna care? You cant see it. Now strut bars and tie bars, x-, z-, w- braces - thats performance you can see. You cant ignore it - especially if its chrome.

You can see the yellow of my shocks from behind... All the ricers be trippin' when they see dat shiz! I just wish I had a blingin' rear tie bar to go with them, but I'll probably get a roll cage for show next...

Now where's that hammer icon... I feel like using it on myself.

make sure you leave room for bling-blingin' rear lca's. you're not cool unless it's purple and made in taiwan...

in all seriousness, buy a good book or two instead and read up.

-Carroll Smith's "... To Win" books (a must have...)
-How To Make Your Car Handle by Puhn (oldie but goodie; very easy to understand)
-Competition Car Suspension by Staniforth (harder to understand [gotta love those brits], but interesting none the less)
-Inside Racing Technology by Haney/Braun (for the section on dampers)
-The Racing and High-Performance Tire by Haney (understanding tires w/ tuning tips at the end)
-Race Car Vehicle Dynamics by Milliken/Milliken (very advanced but very comprehensive)
