Hello ppeople I have a short ram no high end name brand just generic, Can i use the K & N cleaning kit to clean it even though its not a k & n filteR?

 

yes you can use the k and n air filter cleaner. i do i have no problems

 

Ive heard you can do it with dish soap but I dunno if its good for the filter. Has anyone heard of this?

I have a CAI and it gets dirty so I just cleaned it with some dish washing soap and water

if its bad for the filter let me know please ... lol

 

You can clean your air filter with dish soap. It is not a problem. Also, you may want to spray some wd 40 on it. It will trap a bit more dust this way.

But why not simply replace it?

I do use dish washing soap and it does a beautiful job.....plus I love the way the Palmolive leaves my hands nice and soft...like they say hard on filters soft on hands

 

Put it in the dishwasher it works great. Then spray it with wd40 and you will be set.
