The forks don't prevent the bike from diving. BMW has the "Telelever" front which is supposed to prevent the front from diving. Those motoGP guys are good enough that I don't think they get their feathers rustled with a little nosedive.
I was going to suggest a speedo sensor, but it's a little straight/rigid for that.
