I have a 1994 Accord LX witha broken odometer. It broke turning over 47099 miles. The speedo still works just fine. The trip odometer is also stuck. Any ideas on what could be wrong would be helpful, especially in how it works. I know most cars are driven by the speedometer cable, but that is still working just fine. I am assuming it uses some form of speed sensor, but I dont know how the odometer is driven.

If this helps, my odometer turns over back to zero i think after 7800miles, mileage works, maybe it's a 5th gen defect
