Exhaust that fits depends on the outlet of your cat.

yep if you get a jdm 4-1 u can get a cat thats 2.5
having a 2.5 flange on the header side
and either a 2.5 flange or a 2.25 inch flange
for watever exhaust ur going with.

A side exit system I welded up this weekend. Going to do a rear exit one instead though, the side exit is a wee bit too low. If I were to buy a system.. I'd doi the Apexi N1 or do what Mike said. The SMSP is still a weld together yourself deal, and well, if you're going to weld it together yourself, just make one yourself. To my knowledge, the only thing special about his exhaust is that you can customize it for different lengths on install, which you could do with a custom setup anyways. I wish SMSP would just release one for your normal old ITR instead of just the weld together one (I apologize if he did release one..)

The cat back system used on for the header test is available and it's already welded together. 2-1/2" OD 16g polished stainless steel, 22" long resonator and a 4" x 9" resonator with one of those huge 2-1/2" tips to get everyone's attention. FYI, I flare the B pipe inlet to be 2-1/2" to 2-9/16" ID so when you bolt it up to a 2-1/2" cat there isn't any mismatch. This system is sized for use with a JDM type header and 16-3/4" cat or test pipe. It was used for 1 day and has started to turn gold in color. Email me for pictures.

2.5" test pipe and the Kakimoto R 70mm OD catback. The Kakimoto R will give you a true 2.5" ID catback all the way to match up with the header and test pipe. Even the bottleneck areas are still around 2.5" and the rest of the b-pipe is 2.55".

And it is fully stainless steel and cost around the same as other Japanese made catback system.

I'd jump on that if Dave sold it for a good price and I needed an exhaust

Dave: Do you plan on selling them pre-welded together by any chance? I heard that you were going to but haven't heard anything else? Also, have you made a header for a b18a before? I might need to get one in april or so...

Dave,

I have custom bent material to build B18A/B 4-2-1 headers for SCCA ITA cars however this tubing is 18g since it would be a race application and I wouldn't recommend it for the street. The design is similar to the GSR header expect the tubing diameters are smaller.

Since it's for a SCCA ITA car.... The header is certainly not holding my back currently, but mid next year at the latest, I'll be talking to you about getting one.
