slight grinding noise

Default slight grinding noise

anyone had this problem b4? its grinding a lil bit when i shift from 1st to 2nd.

not in my lude but in my old 94 accord I would grind from time to time going to second... never found the problem... changed the fluid on the tranny (never tried the GM synchro mesh tho) and it never went away, same with 5th for me BTW. It seamed like 2nd gear had 2 synchro's, I had to make it through two gates before it caught... f22b1... weird...

Most likely your syncros, First to Second usualy cop the most punishment, same with 3rd to fourth because you can really snap down hard onto it, Try running some gearbox treatment Syntrex. You may have to put some in then drive it a week or so then flush it agian and put in more. It has some downsides so i have heard or i could be wrong. But it certaining fixed my gearbox problems and gears were very smoothe, it even stoped some Major( and i mean big, could not snap second and was sometimes not going in at all) on my car. The box wasnt strong enough for the power. But the syntrex helped alot!!

Give it a go, trust me.
