ok, when my car is running and idling, with the clutch down, it will absolutely not go in any gear. but when the car is shut off, it will go through all the gears without any problem. this is with a 96 teg LS manual tranny. i really need to know what is going on here. thanks in advance.

 

Clutch problem

Pressure plate, friction disc, etc.

 

Clutch problem. Replace it and get a lightened flywheel at the same time.

check your clutch fluid, might be low and not disengaging the clutch... just a guesse but worth a look before dropping the tranny.

 

if its cable make shore all linkages are tighten, unless hydralic chek fluid. anything other than that clutch
