quick question about a sir1 into a eg hatch..trust me I search n couldn't find ne thing

Default quick question about a sir1 into a eg hatch..trust me I search n couldn't find ne thing

I got a question.... a shop around my area(miramar,florida) wnats 2 sell me a sir1 motor tranny and ecu 4 1200..the only problem is that I heard I couldn't use that transmission becuase it has a cable transmission..is this true and if I can use the cable transmission is there nething special I need to do or use to put it in...thanks in advance for your help...please let me know asap.

You would have to do a hydro to cable conversion, honestly i dont think its worth it. Sell the tranny and get a Hydro. If need be then do the conversion but i wouldnt do it.

not to jack the thread or anything but i have a 93 4dr eg thats auto. i plan to convert it to 5 speed soon. will i have to use a cable or hydro clutch?

Hydro if you want to keep the linkage and shifter stock.

What is so bad about doing the cable to hydro tranny conversion....I was reading before that a lot of ppl don't like doing obd1 - obd0 conversions y is that what are the problems... I'm asking this becuase it is similar 2 the wuestion I asked earlier since the motor n tranny I'm getting is obd0 and I have a obd1 car..imcurious as to y ppl don't like it
