Treated even somewhat correctly, these cars simply don't care how many miles are on them. I'm @ 152k miles on my GS-R and it still runs basically like new. $6500 seems like a really good deal IMHO.

Guess, I'm gonna buy this car. Going from 95 SE to 97 LS, to 96 A4 and now this. I just can't seems to get away from Integra. There's something about them, that makes me go back.

I've known people who have bought integras that turned out to be lemons. Personally, I would never buy a car that has been modified. I only buy original owner cars that have not been modified and only if the original owner seems to be well off financially. Also I have my friend who works at the Acura dealership check out the car for me. Both my integras have lasted to 250k miles without any problems. I wouldn't buy the car just because it has been modified. THe car could have had a turbo on it for the last couple of years or something like that. But if you really want it at least have an honest mechanic check it out or you can get AAA to check out the car for like $75 if you are a member.
i agree with havoc. i would still buy a car that has light mods, but nothing as heavily modified as you listed. who knows how well he took care of it. with mods like that you can only assume that it has been raced and pushed hard in the past.

I would probably buy a lightly modified car too if I knew that the person selling it was an honest person. I looked at a prelude that was for sale on this board and the description said it had never been modified and didn't have any problems. I went to see it and the car had tons of problems and then I searched through his post history on this board and I see pictures of the car with a turbo on it and his time slips. That's one of the reasons why I look to buy a car from older rich people.

What does a persons financial standing have to do in determining if youre gonna buy their car or not? Rich people are a lot more likely to abuse their car than a poor person who cannot just go out and replace it on a whim. Are aftermarket wheels a no sale mod? what about a K&N panel filter? what about non OEM tires? what about an exhaust that helps you get 3mpg more? If youre that picky about a car just buy brand new

A person's financial standing makes a big difference in possible reliability of the car. THe main reason is that they are more likely to be honest when selling their car. If you ask them what problems the car has had in the past then they will be more likely to give you a truthful answer. Also I look for people who have their car serviced in regular intervals. THe previous owner of my car had all of the records from the dealership. I just think that you are better off getting a one owner car from someone who isn't poor. I don't mind waiting until I can find one because my cars last well into the 200,000s without any problems. I could be wrong, but in my opinion I am taking less of a gamble buying a one-owner car than buying a car like the one the original poster listed. I am too poor to buy a decent new car with cash and I don't believe in borrowing money to buy a car.

yeah i understand all that but still whether a person is rich or poor (that alone) really doesnt make a detriment to how theyre gonna maintain their car. ive taken in trades from $100k+ people which were terribly maintained and messy and the $25k people trading in 12 yr old cars with 200k looked and ran almost showroom shape. it ultimately comes down to each individual car. my MX6 im the third owner and i bought it off the trade from a lady who bought it with 30k and put 149k on it in 5 yrs and did all the maintenance by the book. also a lot of people like me who change all their own fluids and filters and do their own maintenance dont log it or keep shop records, doesnt mean it wasnt done
I agree that the car looks nice and you shouldnt be concerned about the mileage if it appears that the car was well maintained. $6500 or less seems like a hell of a deal.

Forget it, the car got salvage title. I hate sellers who gets you all hype up and then tell you it's salvage. Dammit. Going to try to get him sell it for $3000 or something. LOL
