megan racing is not ebay crap. they actually are great headers for the price.
they have a copy of the jdm itr 4-1 with 2.5 collector, stainless steel, tig welded for the gsr.
a friend of mine had a set of his on his gsr before it was turboed. Shawn D on here (not to be confused with .:shawn d:.)
they are very high quality.
they also have a newer 4-2-1 version for ls.
megan racing
if you want to help support a fellow h-t member, Shawn D sells them on his site here, and he will also get you absolutely anything else you want for a fair price. i will vouch for him any day.
regardless of the fact that they are less expensive because they are not as big as other companies like comptech or whomever, they are still very high quality, and i'm about to order a header for myself.

I also Agree Megan racing is a good quality header just without the name yet. friend of mine has them on his civic and loves them..

In the MOST CASES all you pay for is brand name..

Here's what is odd to me, especially when it comes to using e-bay.

Megan racing set of 4 strut bars on Ebay: 69.99
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

Megan racing front upper strut from their site: 69.99
http://www.meganracing.com/pro...d=166

This is a big price difference... am i missing something? Are the e-bay a knockoff of megan? I have considered these strut bars in the past but now I'm not sure.

agree if u r on a budget there is no problem of getting ur **** off ebay. You maybe get 50-60-70% effectiveness for 1/4 of a price. I mean some things u should get the good stuff or if you want all the power...but paying 400 bucks more for 3-4 horsepower is something thats your choice, but others u can get away with ebay stuff.

I asked before about e-bay headers. then only thing that kept comming up was some of them have a fit issue. I am pretty good with tools so if the bolts where off a little then i would feel OK doing this fix myself.

When I have a few more bucks i am going to pick up a set, but i think i will go for the OBX, you do get what you pay for, and they are still pretty cheap.

I have heard the powertech headers that i have soon for $79 are a total waster and some will actually cost you HP.

whoa, big spender! i didn't even shell it out for obx when i bought my header. i just had an exhaust leak i wanted to fix right away, so i went with the "obx-style." 60 bucks. at least they actually fit well, and i got rid of that annoying exhaust leak.

Megan racing is crap made in taiwan. Just like OBX, Rota, axis(thai crap), Etc....

I would never put that crap on my car. but thats me.

If you like it go for it.

problem with Megan is that they will sell their stuff to ANY retailer who has a business licence. They don't even request a minimum buy in like most respectable manufacturers to get thier wholesale price.

Therefore, they whored their parts out (which aren't that bad of quality, actually, in fact, they rival most parts out there), and now they're sold on eBay for pennies more than the seller paid for them - gotta love what happens when everyone seems to think that the lowest price is the only way to get customers.

Back to the original question: everything of theirs that I've had in my possesion to inspect (almost everything they cary) - descent quality, great for the price anyway.

Before saying it is good or bad, show some dyno results. Does anyone have a dyno chart, or time slip from a before or after with this header. Generally you get what you pay for. Most cheap headers make less power than the stock manifold.

The header that is called "JUN style 4-1 ITR header" on ebay is good, it's around $200.
i bought it and haveabout 4k miles on it and it seems to be good quality and working very well. and fittment was perfect.
it has a 2.5" collecotor and is stainless steel, i think i bought it from ssautochrom
the welds on it seem to be pretty good, for the price, i have detailed pics if any 1 wants to see them....

Those who run these headers, hows the gaskets holding up? Do they blow as quick as kamikaze gaskets?

I've got one on my b18b and might I say that it is an excellent piece at an awesome price. I was very surprised to see that the runners and the collector were smoothed out, as even some of the so called "name brand" manufacturers didn't even do this. I noticed a quite a difference in performance vs my old usdm itr manifold (which is pretty good for stock), and I will be on the dyno shortly with a comparison as I've already dyno'd with the usdm itr header.
