Great site except not very friendly for budding DIY's. Is there any way you can suggest which cooling kit should be usd for 98 4cyl auto 2.3l accord.

Thansk for telling us about the site.

transmisson coolers are universal. you can go to your local autozone or pepboys and pick one up.

There are a few different types of Auto Trans COOLERS , tube and fin , these are the least expensive , then there is Stacked plate , more heavy duty than first. and then there is Finned mostly for racing applications . A cool Tranny is a happy tranny. Do a search online under AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER , thers alot of info or go onto ebay.com under same and see the different types good luck.

easiest way to determine which tranny fluid hose is the return line is to start up the car from a cold start. let it run for about 3 minutes and feel the two hoses. the warm one is the one flowing TO the radiator while the cooler one is the return hose. cut the cool hose and use the extra hose to loop through the tranny cooler. its a piece of cake.
