approximately how long does it takes to tune HONDATA + BOLTS ON
well...im on my way to buy hondata s200....and got only about 150left after the purchased....my motor has header/manifold/cai/exhaust....and i was wondering if i buy the s200 i will need to get it tunes asap....but the problem is i dont know how long the tuning will take...and i got only about 150-200 left....
the place i call they charge 175/hr...and i heard tune hondata takes about 2-4 hrs is this true?
i know it depends on some factors but how long does it takes for yours?

I'd say at the minimum, 2 hours. Longer if you wish to do more fine tuning and a street tune to double-check the calibrations done on the loading dyno.
I'm not sure if that's the case with professional tuners. That's probably how long it would take me to do it since I don't work particularly fast.

Is that supposed to be good or bad?
It doesn't matter how long it takes me to do it....or how much for that matter. All of my work is pro bono.
Call DSR or Church Automotive Testing for their Hondata tuning rates to get a better idea on how much you'd have to allocate for that part of your project.

i dont understand why you are tuning your car with just those bolt ons? Seems like you will be paying all that for maybe a 5hp difference if any difference at all... I'd just wait and buy a turbo kit or parts for motor work with the money you have, go ahead and buy the hondata if you want but hold off on the install... it really would be a waste of money to spend on the very small gain if you gain anything.
Considering that you already have an aftermarket IM, I think you'd benefit from cams and cam gears if you want it tuned. I've seen some good gains, so if you have the cash or are willing to wait, I'd look into it.
there are two critcal points about tuning.
1. never too early or too soon to tuning ur car...doesn't matter with just bolt on or not..
2. yes, it could be too late to start tuning...obvious example would be running a turbo kit with turbo cams and not tuning...or just NOS....
