if looking at the car with hood in front of you passenger= left, driver =right side
i was wondeing how do i know which axle goes into the drivers side of the tranny, and which axle goes on the passenger side???
does it matter or can axles just me mixed and matched???

Lucky you, I just pulled the tranny out of my car and have the axles sitting right in front of me (well, actually they are in the garage). They are both the same length, but by passenger-side axle has a serated ring on the outside part of it, but I don't know if this is because it is not OEM. Other than that I don't know because I couldn't get the intermediate shaft apart from the drivers-side axle. Good luck.

what motor..?
The driver side is longer if its sohc and if its dohc the driver side is still longer but its in 2 parts which should be obvious since it wouldnt work any other way.. Think about it the tranny is on the passenger side of the car, so of course the driver side its gonna be longer
