Yeah, unfortunately you need to drop the tank as much as you can. It will be easier that way. You should put the car on some sturdy jackstands, you won't be able to work under your car any other way. You should either run the tank as empty as you can and then drain the remaining gas out. The lighter the tank is, the easier it will be for you. Good luck. BTW, what is your purpose for accessing the pump? Replacement?

yup i replaced the fuel pump on my car, i had the rear up on jack stands, made it way easier. had a flat piece of wood on top of my jack so it sort of help balance it out. but my tank wasnt empty, it was still half full. watch the fuel lines when you take them off. mine was rusted and ended up ripping the fuel line. had to take off everything around the dash, it wasnt fun.

ok done.. pretty simple... did not like how the supplied fuel pump rubber groumet fitted though,. also didnt like how the screen is much smaller than the original.. seems you need to make sure the new screens sits as low as the orignal or you'll run outta gas too soon..............w/ gas still registering... thanks guys
