How are you guys passing smog in CA with this header? Has anyone fabricated a CARB plate for this header yet?

 

i think some people get off with it. its by like that the tech doesnt notice it

 

I am sure someone could take a CARB EO plate from an old header and weld it on for you, or you could get the JDM ITR header heatshield, it looks very stock, as if you didn't even have an aftermarket header.

 

i thought the ITR header heatshield only fits on the JDM ITR header, not the DC one.

You may be able to custom fit the heatshield onto the JDM DC one, at least for your visual emissions inspection, that wouldn't be too difficult. If you are going through the trouble to weld on a CARB EO plate, you could mount the heatshield with similar effort. I know the skidplate for the JDM 4-1 will not work on the DC JDM 4-1, but I am not sure about the heatshield. I think I read about someone using one with their DC, but I haven't found that thread.

 

You cannot use the heatshield with the dc header without welding tabs on the header.
