Default crvtec not making any power after vtec??

my friends crvtec was working good this morning when the exhaust was on totally. then when a straight away, then the exhaust fell off just from ripping it. on the way home the car would run good except it would be too loud. at like 7grand the car starts dieing like the power isnt climbing, usually it doesnt do this. could it be that the exhaust is to free flow and instead of making power it loses power??? could it be the lack of backpressure?? or something else?? can i get some suggestions??? please thanks!!

Exhaust would have absolutely nothing to do with it. Sounds like your car needs a good once over. Wiring. EXHAUST!!!!! And a bunch of other stuff. When it runs good, and then just all of the sudden goes bad usually meens like a loose connection of some sort. Does vtec work?

we are running vafc which was tuned before the c-t-r cams and dc 4-1 headers and yes dist is advanced all the way, thats where the car performs best at.....no pinging...so i think we are good to go.

if ur motor isnt tuned for those cams it or it will act up or ping because ur ***** not tuned

u need to time ur car. if it pings its ur gas not ur timing.

timing will make ur car slow...id double check that.

sounds like ur belt or cam gears slipped maybe ur ditributer sliped
