Default Shed some light: Auto>>>manual+motorswap in 91dx hatch

posting this for a friend:
Has a chance to buy a 91 dx hatchback automatic in good condition for 7-800$ but there are a few things holding him back from doing it.
1: Its an automatic(biggest reason)
2: its a DX
He wants to basically get an 88-91 hatch or crx and this car just came along, it belongs to one of my other friends parents and they have had it since it was new. He just basically wants to build up and drop in a b16 and suspension/rollcage etc to make kind of a trackracer/autocross car but we arent sure whats really involved in converting over to a stick and if its hard or worth the hassle of it. Also from what people have been telling us becuase its a dx model in order to swap the motor you need to replace some main harness which is a couple hundred bucks or something becuase the injector wiring is funny and etc etc but Im just trying to find out what info anyone might be able to offer about these two things because the car is really cheap and it would be a waste to not jump on it if its not really that big a deal to do the changeover. TIA

I've done a CRX DX auto to 5spd ZC. You need 5spd pedal assembly, shift linkage, and clutch cable (oh yeah you have to drill a hole for the clutch cable). Also in order to start an AUTO the gear select has to be on park. I just removed the gear select/neutral safety switch from the gear selector and left it under the center console in the park position. I know there's another way to bypass the neutral safety switch ? You also have to mess with the back up light circuit so the back up lights illuminate when shifting into reverse. As for the wiring you need to rewire from DX to ZC/SI then add the 4 wires for B16a conversion. You also need the fuel injector resistor box!
