To remove the water pump on an H22A4, the Helms manual says you need to remove the cam gears and then remove the black plastic cover behind the gears / above the water pump.

I don't remember doing this on my other H23, I just unbolted the water pump and bolted on a new one. What's different that makes taking the cam gears off etc. required on the H22?
