k20a2 crank in k20a3?
can you use a k20a2 crank in a a3? i am doing a build of an a3 with a2 head and the crower rods are made for an a3.already have the block sleeved,so i really need the a2 crank.
From my understanding.. They're the share the same stroke and length rods, but just different materials. I guess kind of like the B18c1 and B185 type of same difference, but I could be wrong.
Yes, you absolutely can use the A2 crankshaft in the A3 block. There are a couple of differences. First off the A2 crank is forged, and I think it is balanced as well. Overall it is a much better crank, you will need new rods though because rods for the A3 will not fit on the A2 crank.
thanks.that is what i needed to know.i already have crower a2 rods and wiseco pistons.the reason i wanted to know if the crank would work is that i have already got golden eagle sleeves in the a3 block.
