Default FOUND THE LEAK!!!!

Today I pulled my headliner out and found alot of moisture hanging off the metal above the headliner. So I sprayed the hose over my car for awhile, and then finally noticed water dripping down onto the fuel pump cover. I look inside and find it coming from the rear washer nozzle on the roof. When the headliner was in place, the water was dripping onto the top of the headliner and I guess running down the sides and pooling up underneath my rear seat, as someone had suggested, and then getting up under the carpet. So I took the nozzle off, straighened out the gasket, and put it back on w/ some silicone sealant.

But that wasn't the problem with the water in the spare tire well.

I found that I still had a problem with my taillight gasket, and the problem was that water was getting down past the gasket into the taillight housing itself, and then when it filled up enough would come in through that hole where the wire harness clips onto the rear bulkhead.

I think I got everything fixed, but I'm going to leave my interior out for a couple more days to make sure that everything is fixed (supposed to rain tomorrow and Monday). I'll get some pics up later.

Awesome. When I had my Integra I ended up going to about half a dozen sets of tailight gaskets because I could never get them to stop leaking, and I ended up shaving the roof washer fluid nozzle.

Yeah I thought about shaving that, but when I get a head unit I will probably get XM radio and will mount the antenna in that location using that hole.

patrick did your rear seats ever get wet? this weekend a friend was sittin in the backseat of my car and his butt got wet from water seeping through the seat cushion. i am gonna remove my headliner tomorrow and see if i can find any moisture. all you did was reset the gasket around the nozzle and the leak to the rear seats stopped? someone in this post: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=272109 suggested that there is a tube that leads to the rear wheel well that also needs adjusting sometimes. just curious to kno if your fix worked or not.

anyone else deal with a leak that led to the rear seat cushions getting wet?

Glad to see you found out the problem areas. It must have been a PITA taking out your interior all over again. Hopefully you won't have to worry about water leakage anymore.

quick question. how do you access the rain channels that drain the area around the moonroof? do you actually have to remove the moonroof? im suspecting that my wet rear seats are due to insufficient drainage from the roof. this sucks...
