Default Got some interesting info about MotoGP costs....

Reading up on the specs of the Kawasaki, aka the fastest last place bike in GP. The value of the parts are unbelievable.....as follows

Fr wheel £2800 ($5040)
Rr wheel £2800
Frame £32,000 ($57600)
Engine £220,000 ($396000)
Bodywork £18,000 ($32400)

This comes from the bill when one was totaled in that hideous accident down the back straight. $200 for my fairing doesn't seem like a big deal anymore

Thats because they figure in their R&D.

I am sure Marchesini figure in their R&D with all things, but $10K for wheels is steep, carbon or not.

I was thinking those costs are representative of the low end of the MotoGP paddock.

ya, i am sure the factory bikes are in the several millions to put together, after R&D are factored in.
