l C-pillar bar installation?
Anyone istall one of these on there car? If so, pics? Also, do you have to cut any of the plastics in the pillars? I couldn't get the bar and the belts back in. I tried the bar in a few different directions and it still seemed too wide.
Any help here?

which c-pillar did you get?
Most the of bars ive seen allow you to use your rear seatbelts.
Just take the plastic covers off and reuse the bolts and washers.

So, I still haven't put my bar in yet. Do I need to take off the c-pillar panels before installing it? And if so, do I have to leave them off once I put it on?
no panels need to be removed, just the seatbelts. then you can put the bar on, put seatbelts back on if you desire (depending if your bar allows for it), torque the bolts and you're done.
if you put that bar AND belts back in then carry people around in the back seat
did you ever think what would happen to their heads if you got rear ended while they were back there? Squish on that bar = dead rear seat passengers.
Either install the bar and leave the seatbelts off (I.E. don't let anyone sit in the back seat) or don't put the bar in. simple.

got a e-m racing c pillar bar...very easy to install and yes you can keep the plastics and no cutting is involed...you can even keep the seatbelts there but it wouldn't be a good idea to have anyone in the back seat

I got the same setup, kept the rear belts because the bar is on a cotter pin setup. Just pull the pins and plugs and the bar will pop out. Easy to do and lets you use your back seats if you need.

And yet still not as effective as a well-designed 4 or 6-point cage.
All those bars are mostly just JDM bling in my opinion.

Damn, youre serious about chassis rigidity, MooFX. I dont think the C-pillar brace was really necessary, unless its making up part of your roll cage. If it isnt triangulated, it probably isnt going to do much.
Do you plan on racing the car or something? I dont really understand why you would go to such lengths on just a street car.

I got the same one. Bar is too long for the DC chassis huh? It was too long for my car and since i only paid 30 bucks shipped for it and it's mostly for looks i decided to say **** it and save for something like j's racing. I guess thats what i get when ****** with ebay ****.
EDIT: My avatar describs my emotions after realizing the bar was too long.

I track my car 8-10 times a year, every summer we go down to Pacific Raceway for track events. The cage definitely makes a huge difference on track, much better response and very stable around the big turns. I've also tried it with and without the additional tower bars / c-pillars, those will make a difference as well even with the cage in.
Thanks,
Justin

Thanks for the awesome pic of your bar. I tried to get mine in like that, but it was too long it seemed. I guess I can always try again, as I was in a big hurry my first try. It just didn't want to fit in between the pillars that way though. I had it at the smallest it would go too.
I've come to the determination that the DAMN bar just won't fit. I tried for about an hour yesterday and got it to fit, but it was upside down and just didn't look right. **** is too long for the back of my car. Maybe a full sized sedan would be able to fit it, but not a DC. Pissed. Oh well, just a waste of $30.00. Maybe next time I'll stick to brand name or jdm parts.
i believe you install the c pillar right behind the b pillars under the rear side windows. I was looking at this my self for my 91 teg. I think from the pics I saw thats where it looked like it was at.
