Default need help now!!!!!!!!

me and my cousin are changing the tranny in his crx. we need to know how to get the roll pin out of the **** linkage. we tried beating it out with a hammer and punch. thanks alot.

the 'bitch pin'...I never take it out, not worth the trouble. I unbolt the linkage at the shifter and rotate it to the side when I pull the engine. sometimes the stand gets in the way and you've got to get a jack under there so you can get the linkage past the stand...but its still easier then gettin that thing out IMO. just keep an eye on it when the engine's going up so that it doesn't get hung up...

a little PB Blaster, then use a 8mm/ 3/8" punch + 2 lb. hammer to get it out. I've had a few that were being a "bitch" and used a air chisel with a modified bit to get them out.

BTW, history note, the term "bitch pin" was first used by BennyZ off the OLD CRX board about 4 years ago. My how time flys!

I had trouble with that too... but I just used a hammer, and a 1/4 inch, round, non-tapered punch to get it out. That method worked pretty well for me... It was also mentioned in an issue of Sport Compact Car when they put a B18 in a crx.. if i remember correctly. Goodluck!
