Are DC Sports headers really worth the money?

In the grand sceme of things the DC header is relatively inexpensive. IMHO they are definitely worth the money (I paid $270 for the 4-1 JDM ITR w/ 2.5" collector).
Of course there are better performing headers out there, but I can't imagine that any will perform better for the price.
I would recommend the mild steel, its cheaper and runs a bit cooler than the ss.

Mild steel may be cheaper, but it's more likely to corrode and doesn't last as long. Stainless steel is less likely to corrode and has lower thermal conductivity. Stainless steel headers are superior to that of mild steel headers. However, you will be paying more for them.

For the quality and the history of DC Sports headers, I believe they are worth the money.
Its already a proven product that is high quality and lasts long. You hear of Ebay and new headers that come out for the same price, but the cheaper price may reflect the quality. You dont know how long it will last and what the actual gains are.

I still disagree completely. All of the problems that I have heard about in reference to the DC headers in general (both SS and mild steel) have to do with cracking, not corroding. I would never argue that a mild steel would hold up to the elements as well as stainless, however the only problems I've read about with DC sports headers in general is that they CAN crack. These problems occur both in the stainless and mild applications. Also, since the stainless headers run get hotter (and stay hotter longer) than the steel application that after time they would not hold up as well with issues such as cracking.
All else aside, I am very happy with my mild steel DC header and think I made the right decision. So far, no rust and the coat is still shiny after 3 months....

Any header will crack after prolonged use....look what they have to do, Exhaust Very Hot gases and then cool to outside temperatures. They live in a harsh environment so dont expect them to last for 20 years. Why do you think auto manufacturers use thick cast iron on stock daily drivers? I want to get a header for my B16 as well, but I drive a lot of miles everyday...I can agree that the DC is worth the money.
dc is a fairly cheap header, and the only one worth while is the JDM DC 4-1 it will perform adequate on 1.6's 1.8's and some mild 2.0's.
i don't see any 4-1 headers for a 1.6 on their site., so if DC and GReddy don't make 4-1 headers for a 1.6, who does?

I am selling a DC Sports 4-1 ceramic header. It is made for a 97-00 type r but will fit any b series head and bolt to stock exhaust. Check it out here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1068448. And they are the best bang for buck header

They have a 4-1 header that works on a DOHC 1.6L engine, but that won't work bc its B series. You may have to buy a 4-2-1 if you want DC. Greddy might make one for D series, but I haven't really heard anything great about their headers. I'm sure searching the net or h-t you can find a solid header for you d series.
