How to unhook ABS
Hey, my moms b/f has a 1992 Prelude Si. I did a search and found nothing, i was wondering if anyone knew how to unhook the ABS or if anyone has any articles about it. Thanks.
If you just want to unhook it, pull the fuse and it won't work. If you want to take it out, that's a whole different story. I did it and it's a pain in the ***--https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=830502

Yeah, it's a lot of work, but well worth it if you like a clean and simple bay.

Since it's not your car, the fuse boxes are to the left of the foot pedals behind a cover that you turn a latch and remove, and under the hood near the firewall on the passenger side. Not sure which one has the ABS fuse, but you should be able to find out pretty easily by reading the diagrams.

or if your system is malfunctioning and you don't want to/can't fix it.
or if you have a non-ABS axle 'cause your quaife won't accept an ABS axle.

just a question......why not get it fixed? IS there some type of major failure with this system? I have an ABS light on, but I figured it was a wheel sensor or something.

i just removed my light. i have a non-ABS axle on my passenger side. even with the correct axle, the ABS unit makes weird clicking noises and i STILL get a light. right now it is disconnected. i'm taking mine out. i need a spot for the methanol anyway

I asked what was the point of disabling ABS if you not trying to loose weight. The only reason I can think of is if it is already broken.
