A true bandsaw, or a horizontal/vertical saw? HarborFreight has the common 4x6" H/V saw for $140-180. Enco has it too in addition to larger units. But as far as "real" bandsaws go, I don't think there are many/any <$800 metal cutting saws out there. Probably best to watch for used ones in your area.

You can get something close to decent for $800, anything but the 150 pos from HF is pretty decent from them. I had real good luck with http://www.harborfreight.com/c...er=63 .

I have that one, and it works great for everything Ive done with it. The only thing I didnt like is that it takes like 3-4 gallons of cutting oil, what do you guys use? cutting oil or regular oil? but overall for the price, I think its one of the best out there.

try http://www.machinetools.com for a REAL bandsaw

But there's probably nothing in your price range.

I have the HF one and it walks like a ****. I've adjusted it, added new blades, etc etc. I have a warranty that I cannot find either so they refuse to help me out.

Damn *******.
