crx dash? well its in a 90 crx but im not sure if the 90 came with a rounded cluster hood..the thing that screws to the dash..
The crx has the square style cluster and bezel in 88-89, and the round style in 90-91. There were a number of small trim improvment for the 90-91 models such as bumpers, seats, switches, tail lights, and wheels (Si model)
It could be an 89' civic dash cluster cover. A guy at my work drives one and I have a 90'. The biggest difference I can see is that the defrost buttons, ect., are all skinny and mine are taller and wider. Sounds to me like a quicky dash swap- maybe before he got it?
But if it runs good, what the hey!
