Default goal:12sec daily driver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So how much boost is safe on a stock h23? I'm going for 13 secs on street and 12's on the weekends. I know I'd have to do some internal work for 12s but what type of whp does it take, with descent traction, to hit 13's/12sec 1/4 mile runs. And what is safe on a stock h23? Please Help

Yeah keep the h23a, you dont need the h22a to make good turbo power, it will simply be a waste of money! There are super powerful h23 turbos out there, and to ensure a reliable daily driver, keep it simple, stupid it's a good thing to remember!

I've got 130k right now and I figured if I swapped an h22 with under 40k I'd be better off since its my only car. But soon I'll probally be buying a second car so I'm not worried about the miles so much anymore.

i was under the impression that if you build your bottom end and do some head work as h23 sleeper will def. need to hit thoose number the milage on the engine does not matter as it is being rebuilt anyways??

I was under the impression that if you build your bottom end and do the necessary head work to get an H23 to those numbers, the mileage does not matter because it's being rebuilt.

Usually on the stock turbo h22's and h23's we do, we stick to around 8 psi (which can make around 300whp if done right). You might be able to occasionally push it to 10 or 12psi...but if you run that boost long term you might be walking on the wild side

Thank you XES! That's really all I was lookin' for. A quick straight answer. Lookin' back at the origional Q I should've reworded things differently. Thanks you.

That's true about the rebuild pretty much makin' an engine new. But it will take a bit of time for me to get to that point so I wanted my engine to last till then. But then 130k isn't a heck of alot on a lude if its in good condition like mine huh?

So what can a 3000lb (with driver) run, with descent traction, run on 300whp? Can anyone tell me that. I've calculated it at about high 12's but that doesn't seem right. Educate me please.
