1983 Lude Question
I may be able to buy an 83 Prelude with a blown clutch for $50-$100, simply because the guy wants it out of his yard. I've found clutch kits, and could put a new one in myself, and have the car running for about $200 altogether, but I was wondering- How hard would it be to put in an H or B series motor in that car, compared to dropping a B series into a civic. I've been wanting a car to have as a project, and since I can get the car that cheap, I thought it might be a good idea.
Also a friend of mine drives a 1990 Lude and was wanting to know, besides the mounts and such, how difficult is it to put an H22 into a 1990 Si Lude?

I've only heard of one b16 being put in a 2nd gen lude....And it took quite a bit of custom fabrication, and no doubt you would have to fabricate a lot of it together as well...it will be nothing like a b16 into a civic, it will be much harder!
Personally, I would stick with the A-series iron blocked engines, more specifically the A20a3 EFI engine, yours is carbed, but that swap would well be worth it in the long run, or save your money and buy an EFI 2nd gen. The magic behind the a20a3 is it's a closed deck iron block with SOHC, which allows it to be super strong, amazingly simple, and definately reliable - PERFECT for a nasty turbocharging. Visit http://www.3geez.com for more info on this engine than you can handle, you'll see quickly why it's an awesome choice!
