Not sure how funny this will be to people that weren't there, but here goes.

I left Spank (club in DC) last night with two female friends, and we all piled into the ITR. On M Street, we noticed a Ferrari 360 Spyder in the left lane. I give him a few revs so I can hear that lovely V8. The light turns green and he takes off, so I follow. We're making quite a lot of noise, both revving to 7K or so in 1st gear. So he turns off by the Ritz-Carlton, and I keep going into Georgetown.

Problem is, there is a GTi in the right lane who thought I was revving at him, and thinks he has something to prove. So we line up.

I'm no drag racer, and I really don't street race. But I kept in mind what H-Ters have said over the years, so the race was over once I shifted into second. I finally let off, and he does a fly-by with his hazards on. Har har.

So, we're next to each other at another light, this time in the heart of Georgetown. We line up again, and I'm talking up a storm about beating him. The women in my car are joining in too. I can see him getting pumped up to go. He does...about 3 seconds before the light turns green, making a lot of tire noise as he goes. He shoots up M Street and takes a quick right onto Wisconsin Ave.

The girls start in with "Why aren't you going! Kick his ***!" I wait til the light turns green, and gingerly get going. Why, you ask? The answer comes two seconds later, when the cop I had sighted on one of the side streets turns on his cherries and chases the GTi down.

As luck would have it, he pulled the kid over right in front of the late-night cafe we were headed to. So, I got to walk by with two insanely hot women, and rub it in his face. Street racing is bad!

Cliffs - #1013 gets a kill, GTi gets a ticket.

Well, I did, sort of, at the first light. But I pretty much quit after second gear, since speeds were getting a little high for the middle of the city.

Oddly enough, this was pretty much the same stretch of road that I raced Michael Jordan on...maybe some of you old-schoolers will remember that.
