Best Potenza Tire for Mugen
I'm looking at getting some MF10's and wanted to know what the best Potenza tire would be for the 16x7 rims.
I know King used Potenza's at a width of 225, and I wanted a simialr set-up.
What choices do I have for a good tire that would be for mainly dry weather and performance but not quite an R compound?

Iggy, FWIW - Dunlop has started importing their new Direzza DZ101 tire to the US; it's been out in Japan for maybe a year so it's a pretty new design. Tire Rack has some limited sizes - prices seem comparable to the Yoko ES100 (basically the DNA GP in Japan, which has been out for like forever).

Or maybe wait and hope Bridgestone decides to bring over the RE55 and RE01R

The RE01R and the Advan both look like track tires (R compound). Track tires are great on the track, but wear too fast to make them suitable for street use.

The best street tires around these days are the Bridgestone S-03, the Goodyear F1 GS-D3, and the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. They're all excellent tires.

I changed my mind; Tire Rack says the treadwear rating on those is 300
BTW, the Advan AD07 is a great street tire. I've had mine for almost a year now

The RE01-R is R compound, at least thats what I read off the siderwall of the prototype model in the Bridgestone office building display case here in Nihombashi Tokyo...These tires look amazing, even in that pic above... If they get released in the US, ill be buying for sure as my first trial of an R compound tire...
