Halogen Bulbs for 1994 Accord EX
Hey guys,
Just signed up here and already have a question:
What are some good halogen bulbs to get for my black 1994 Accord EX?
I was looking at Nokya and KYO bulbs, but if anyone has info to share, I'd very much appreciate it.
Cheers!

I found that none of them are really that great. I heard the sylviana silverstars were pretty decent. I had some PIAA's and while good they are way overpriced. The good thing was they lasted for a long time compared with some other cheap brands.
I eventually went out and bought an HID kit for around $300. Much better than anything else I've had.

i have the silverstars. then i aimed the headlights higher up and its close to as bright as hid. but i get bright lighted all the time
. 35 dollars is a lot better than 300 for HID....

Perhaps...your opinion. I've gone through my share of bulbs and I have had enough of that. So I went with the HID's and have had no problems. No re-aiming required either. What the headlights don't cover the foglights do, so I like my setup. I do alot of night driving and was looking for something reliable that had good light output and the HID's worked perfectly for me. On occasion I get flashed but otherwise I have no problems.
To each his own...

i wish i had HIDs. but its a whole lot cheaper if thats what you wanna do. i do a lot of night driving too, its dark everytime i get off work. and aiming the silverstars also covers sooo much room than any HID ive ever been beside or in. but i admit, HIDs have a bad *** look

I've been debating on HID's... anyone have any links reguarding them? Thanks.
Silverstars are the nicest/longest lasting I've seen... and can be baught from walmart.

Yeah, I debated for a long time whether or not to get them. I didn't want to have to retrofit S2000, Audi, or BMW projectors just for the HID's. But I have to say using the stock headlights, the HID's maintain the focal point and the light isn't all scattered like some other cars. Plus they light up the road like no other. Which is great for me because I do alot of traveling at night. My fear was running into a deer sitting on the side of a highway because I couldn't see it.

when HIDs were produced for cars, it wasn't exactly for brighter light output on the road directly in front of you. they were specifically designed to produce a wider, more even pattern of light so that if you were making a turn, pedestrians on a street corner would be more visible.
take a good look at the beam pattern of most HID (from the factory) cars... the brightness of the light towards the side is much brighter, reflecting its true purpose (no pun intended).
having a bulb that produces more light allows for a more even brightness throughout the beam pattern, unlike the hotspots found in halogen bulb headlights.

I have used Farenheit and Eurolite Super Plasma bulbs and the Eurolites had a great look to them I though really bright white no yellow but the low beams burnt out after 2 months. I though oh maybe I just got a bad pair so since they had a warrenty I got them replaced and the second pair burnt out within 2 months again. The high beams have lasted about 2 years *knock on wood* and I love them but I can't say the same for the low beam 9006 ones. I put stock ones back in for a little over a year then put Farenheit 9006NW low beam bulbs in there. They were a little brighter than stock and a little whiter. The may still have a little of the yellowish color of the stock ones. You can see a little in the day time but they are a lot whiter I like the look of them a lot and I can see better with them also they arent a huge difference but definately a difference. They definately are brighter you can tell this from the inside and outside and a just light up a little better in general but I don't know how long they will last as I have only had them for a month or so.
