If you've got $5k to blow on the Mugen hardtop, and are making payments on an '05...then I don't think you'll have any trouble picking some mods.
My advice..drive it stock for about 6-8 months, auto X it, track it, and then decide what you think needs upgraded.

Like ScreamingTeg, I say drive it 6 months or so. Then track it. I decided my car is fine for now. After 3 track days, I am switcing to R comps. The only mod I have done so far is the 4.77 FD. Its definitely a good mod for the 00-03. I am not sure on the 04-05 due to the stock gearing and rev limiter. Back to my modding. unless you want 300+ hp. Do the track thing with IHE. Maybe some suspension upgrades down the line.
Nishant...
After a couple track sessions at BeaveRun, I personally would be hesitant in putting a shorter FD in my 04 S2k. I tend to run out of 2nd gear there in some spots, and they aren't good enough to quickly shift into 3rd or kick it in 3rd sooner. Who knows...

You know I have an 02 right? It actually came in handy at beaverun. In areas where i hit the rev limiter in 2nd (mainly T3), i was able to be in 3rd. I actually hit the limiter in 3rd there a couple times and then going into T4. Not sure what I was doing
With the 04, i can't see any reason for putting in a shorter FD. Its already short compared to the 00-03 due the lower rev limiter. I'm sureatsome tracks you would benefit from it but then again at others it would hurt. The 04-05 gearing seems to be fine the way it is
