Are you sure that is stick weld? It looks like flux core wire.It just does'nt look like low hy(7018) Who is taking a test?
Is that 1" or 3/4" thick?

nice beads...... did you use filler wire......

did you have good penatrasion......
your welds could look nice, but do they have good penatrasion....thats all the matters.

That stick weld picture looks like somebody was trying to get certified, but would fail since the cap is below spec. At least for structual cert's.

Nice beads tho.
