story of Omnipower coilovers 12K F/ 10K R for 464 shipped....used 10 miles
I had a bad experience with this whole ordeal so i wanted to share with you guys.
One afternoon i was looking through the Type R forum on Honda-tech something caught my eye " omnipower coilovers 12k/10k for 464 shipped 10used"
I then quickly picked up my phone to get on this deal after i read that titan motors was selling these.
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1059179
I asked him on the phone are these the sport versions for the Integra type R? right after he said yes I just quickly got on pay pal to pay.
thought i got a good deal but..........................
First they came in a box too big for four coilovers and barely anything inside to keep them from smashing into each other (all the big packets of air that were in there was popped) I know just laying the coilovers on them was enough to pop them.
but to my surprise it did not show any signs of damage from shipping and did look like it was barely used.
I got the coilovers early last week around noon time and wanted to install them the same day because i wanted coilovers for a long time now. I put the box in my car and went to a shop to get them done asap. So they proceed to remove my suspension and put the front ones on and when to the driverside rear to put the coilovers on and saw the they were the forked style bottems and the rate of the springs were 8k!!!!!
These coilovers are for a civic/integra ls,gsr,.....
The invoice I have from them says omnipower Type R sport coilovers
The shop was going to close in 45 mins and the front coilovers were already installed so i just told them to put the stock rears on so i can just get home.
I called the guy at titan and he just told me to send all 4 coilovers to omnipower and they'll send me a new set and recompensate for shipping.
So during the weekend i got the front returned to stock and packaged them in a good box and put alot of packaging material so that they do not get damaged.
I do not have time to go to UPS because I work full time mon-sat 7:30 am-6:30pm so i called titan for a prepaid postage label so i can just slap that sucker on and send it on its way. He told me to hold while he called omnipower and 8mins later he asks me again what is the problem, I told him the coilovers is not for a Integra type R and the rear rate is 8k.
Let me just get down to what they can do for me after talking to titan and omnipower a few times over the phone
Because i bought a used set of coilovers and it was at such a good price
they can send me the bottem replacement for the rear suspension for a type R
or give me a refund and lose money for install
This was the last email i received from titan
"No where on the on the invoice or on my clearance section does it say the
springs rates that was some a guys post who said that. As you said it was a
used set I am going out of my way to fix the problem that Omnipower did when
labeling the box wrong to get you the right bottoms for the rear, so they
will fit on your car. Most people wouldn't even do that b/c they are used.
The old set of Omnipower sport coilovers had a 8K rear you can call
Omnipower if you would like to confirm but you got these coilovers at a
steal like everyone said, so if your unhappy I will send a call tag for the
coilovers and refund you, your money in full and just resell them again.
Let me know what you want to do.
What i learned:
Check the parts before you go and get them installed
Do not buy anything used from titan motorsports because if they make a mistake they are going out of they're way to help me
sorry for this very very very long post just wanted to vent

first.....you should have known they were not for a type r....
second just get the lower part for a type r from ominpower and be done with it!
that is all that needs to be done....you don't need more than 8k....you won't notice the difference!

its my fault for not being careful but i was too anxious to get them install and have never owned a set of coilovers to notice it wasn't for a type R
So you're the guy I was cursing for picking those up just a couple of hours before me.
He seemed to be confused as to which ones he was selling. At first he told me 18K all around. After talking on the phone he confirmed that they were not 18K, but that was after he sold them. (Edit, he didn't seem to know there were 3 versions of those coilovers for the ITR.)
I bought a new set from Titan of theITR sports, the invoice said 12K/8K, I asked him to verify that they were really 12K/10K, and he said he just made a typo in the invoice, they will be 12K/10K.
Hrmm......
That sucks dude. I'm going to have to triple-check them when I get mine.

Sux, but at least they are offering you the option of a refund.

Exactly, I don't remember Titan posting any pictures of the coilovers...

I know, getting wrong parts always suck especially when you have to pay for installation.
I just wish these sellers double check the Items before they ship them out, so everyone can be happy...
But they are going to refund your money or send you another set. so I guess it's not too bad.. otherwise what else you want them to do?

So you opened the box and noticed the coilovers were not packed properly but didn't notice the obviously different fork style mount?

yeah.. huge difference between the two..
i mean, i'm not sure i like seeing titan not knowing what they've got and sending the wrong stuff, but.. easy to read the spring rates and see the mounts as soon as you open the box.. them sending the wrong stuff - their fault.. you going to install the wrong parts - your fault..

welcome to the world of imports.
