Yeah, santa brought me some a few years ago , with an OK from the tooth fairy.

Ummm .. what about that RL thread?
To be constructive, ... the rear breaking can be improved sufficiently with better pads.
If you want "bling", then get your rear rotors and calipers chromed.

Not too mention that breaking is about 70:30 with the rear being the 30 of course, so jeah...better pads is about all you would need for the rears. If i was upgrading breaks my focuse sure as hell wouldn't be on the rear of the caR as much as it would the front!

[Grammar Police]Seems like about 99% of my breaking is in front. More mechanical bits up there to fall apart/detonate.[/Grammar police]

I searched and found one, with a picture, no explanation for fitment issues.
Didn't search that hard, but I suck at teh internet.
But really, I mean, really, who needs upgraded rears? NSX rears are meant to do a lot more work than we need done in the ITR.

the search is not working well if it is still on here. tech guys here are not nice either.

Most of the people who have replied in this thread think you are talking about the FRONT brakes, not the REAR. There are a lot of threads on the front brakes, but this is the first I've seen on the rear, and I've been here a while~
The REAR NSX brakes have been installed onto the ITR trailing arm/spindle. I have seen it personally, and know the vehicle's owner.
I am doing it on my Civic now (I already have the 11.8"/12" dual piston front, so rear is next). I already have the NSX rear calipers/brackets/rotors.
It requires a custom braket to mount the caliper to. it is NOT a bolt on project. Once the caliper bracket spacer is designed and built, the rest of it is 'bolt on'.
The person who did it used to work for COMPTECH and had their R&D power to get it done. We'll see if I am able to fabricate the brakets on my own . . .
:-)

NSX rear brakes might be a nice visual addition, but I see no practical need for them as a performance enhancement. Most of us burn up 3 sets of front pads to one set of rears. The rears spend most of their time in the air anyway
thumbs up for teaching me something about the conversion, with the fastbrakes adapter!
IMO this thread has its place before 2 other 8 page RSX-S vs ITR flaming threads.
who cares if you don't need em as much as the fronts, if he wants to upgrade them, now he knows how, that's the only valid point here, the rest is just uneeded bullshiting!

The stock brakes are really good. Brakes are really close to the final add ons on a an R. Due to more performance.............
At least from where I hear.

Ok so now we should just be on to providing install and fabbing info regardless of relatively important info like: if you really need the mod, or if it provides any gains, or even if you'll ever see these gains, and then if you could even hope to utilize said gains?
Not.
Here is the crux of the matter:

To each his own I guess.

Do nsx rear calipers have a greater swept area?
Are nsx rear rotors bigger in diameter or thicker?
Are nsx rear brake pads larger than itr?
Would the braking bias and/ or braking performance be improved with this "upgrade?"
Is it worth the expense + hassle?
Is there an aftermarket rear caliper that does the same thing and is 2 piston with easy removal of pads?
