Default crx gsr..should i? im in cali i can BAR it but is it fast?

Well ive been doing research because i was doing lsvtec but the car got stolen so im just not going to waste my time and do a 94-95 gsr. Well its going to be in an Si so kinda heavy not really. Im hearing i should be around 14.1 if im a good driver because these B16 stock rexs are running 14.5-7..im getting ready to buy a crx for around 3k then have to get the swap for around 3k then extras to make it work so around 7k dollars im thinking DAMN thats getting up there..i dont know this car already has the jdm front, new charcoal gray paint and perfect interior no rips even in the seats! err someone give me a boost of confidence! For instance you EF's with GSR's help me out here!

Yea im thinking about an Hf but i realy want a black crx again and dont want to spend 2 grand getting the door jams all painted and the body. I mean its lighter thats why i want the hf but still i want black interior. I added everything up and it came to 6k but i added 1k just for extras.

I'm at about $6.5k w/ my b18c crx.

The way I look at it: It may seem like a lot, but how much do you have to pay for a new car to run high 13's/low 14's? 20k? 30k?

Sure its an older car and stuff like the interior is not as nice or as spacious, and it doesnt smell as good. But a CRX is about 100 times more fun than anything you could get for even twice the money you put into it.

CRXs have a huge fun per dollar ratio.

I say just get the Si. It'll already have the nice interior, sunroof, etc and you wont have to spent extra to turn an HF into that. Mint Si interior is going for pretty big $$ these days.

The GSR motor seems to be over priced for what it is. The best performance per dollar engine is a B18a in my eyes. I see that you have/had one, why not go back? The price of an LS VTEC with some internal modifications will be cheaper than the GSR, faster, and more original. However, it's your car and your money.

Well yes it is but considering i live in cali it wont smog. See i had this all planned out before my rex got stolen. Yes i had the les and THAT DAY i had a ref oppointment and as soon as it passed i was gonna purchase my other ls block and do my lsvtec then pull my LS swap and sell it for 1500 so by the time i got done with it all i would have only spend like 1500 doing a complete lsvtec with tranny and everything.

now if i want to do that i have to purchase a b18a swap and install it all. then ref it then take it all out and sell it to make an lsvtec and thats how i would lose money. Cause before i already had it done and also yes i do agree that the GSR is overpriced by far. But since im in the **** state of CA im stuck with a 94-95 gsr or a 2nd gen B16 94-95 and im not going to get the B16 cause it has no torque. Now see it would be great if i bought another car did my gsr swap then all the sudden my car shows up with the motor all there then i can sell all that **** and moneys all back. Man if they were just taking the car for the stereo like they have been around here they're going to be dissapointed. I had $20 paper speakers in the back and 2 cheap *** ones up front with a discontinued kenwood deck.
