Default 86 Civc Heater Core removal

I got a 86 Civic and I need to remove the heater core and replace it. I have done this once before on a Jetta and I had to remove the whole dash. I was wondering if there is any easier way to do it on a honda then to remove the whole dash... Thanx for any and all help. Also the car has 205,000 miles on it. I have no knowledge of the previous care it was given other then very poor. I got the car for free from a friend because it was just a nightmare. Would anyone with older hondas with high mileage recommend replacing the fuel pump. I have been debating replacing it for a while. It works just fine I just dont want to run into any problems. Thanks for everything.
