How do you guys feel with Rocket Motorsports? has anyone used their cams?.. in specific the M24X, M25, or M25E ? how do they compare to the Toda Vtec Killer Cams ? any suggestions ?

 

Would be interesting to see, but these cams are apples an oranges IMO. lets let rocket jump in here

The toda vtec killer isnt a very big cam, the m24x is larger.. I ran the m24e's on the dyno and they had the most useable powerband compared to skunk stage 2's and stage 3's

 

do you know the vtec killer lobe specs Tony?

Toda killers run off of the non-vtec "non-performance" rockers. That's no good in my book. The mid/vtec rocker is specifically designed for a bigger lobe, the non-vtec rokcers aren't.

Not for the novice since cam installation will be 25X as hard with the VTEC "on" and stiffer springs.

 

Yep, can't wait to see some dynos with those rockers.

the engine is a b18c5 and being put in a track car.. not hitting the street at all...

so you would suggest the m24x even over the m25 and m25e ?

also where you get those rockers from and how much coin?

It works, but only for a short time. Seems to lose its effect after a few thousand miles.

I install one for a customer. Came back after a month. Ended up doing a Quaife diff instead. So, yeah, lol, mixed results.

THose are the phantom grip rocker arms, i have them an looking at 2 sets in my store right now along with the transmission cradle

 

from what i hear PG redesigned the LSD and now they work great... in fact one guy i know cut a better 60foot w/a pg lsd in a gsr diff than he did with his quaife... swapped it after the quaife ate ****

 

Re the M24e / M25e profiles are meant for big motors with 15+ CR.

I have the M24X profile that will work better on less extreme motors but still more race oriented.

 

what would be the min compression ratio for a m24x then?

also how would they stack up to the toda vtec killer cams?

its over double the price for the toda so im trying to justify that buy...
anybody have dyno results from the m24x and the vtec killers?
