very bad sound from around front right wheel
i have recently began hearing a noise that comes from around my front right wheel.
it is like a scraping noise... but i dont know if its my brakes because i hear it even when my foot is off... i hear it most right after i start my car and begin driving.. i dont hear it at all when i drive fast on the freeway and go over like 20 mph, but when i am slowing down for a stop sign , or just letting the car slow down on a roll with my foot off the gas and brake, i hear it... a few times i thought the sound even disappeared after a right turn but i dont know if that has to do with anything.. i also hear it very loud when i am reversing out of a parking spot... also the sound from reversing is different from the sound i hear when i am rolling to a stop.. i wish i could describe the sounds better but yea... the sound i hear when rolling to a stop sounds like it depends on my speed and as i get slower the sound is slower... i believe all of the sounds involve something metal , i hear it when i drive at low speeds,
what could this be? rotors? brake pads? something worse? **** with the suspension?

Depends on the metal sounds. Kinda difficult to give advice, but it could be the heat shield. However, I think you might need to replace the brake pads. How many miles have you put on them? When was the last time you replaced them. Also, sometimes dirt get caught between the rotor and pad.
Hope it helps.

thanks guys.. i found out that it was the brake pads .. i need to get them replaced... a mechanic said it was cus of a tab on the brake pad that scratches the rotors when the pads are almost out
Thats a squealer, it's like a built in warning to go see your mechanic to have your pads replaced. It's really more of an annoyance than anything else.
