Default aem cold air vs aem v2 cold air vw injen cold air. 03 accord

i have searched. i am looking to get my brother a cold air intake for xmas. he has a 03 accord coupe. anyone have any suggestions. i cant find anything on performance. i will probably get a bypass valve becuase it helped me out.

No you can't use the Bypass on the V2. For any questions with that you should refer to the Aem website. http://www.aempower.com

as far as their website is concerned, it seems to me that for the significant price increase from the AEM CAI to the V2, ~2hp is just not worth it. the original AEM CAI is pretty good, and you can find great deals if you snoop around a bit. get a bypass valve, though. cheap little protection against big expensive catastrophy.

I went from a 3" stick with a filter (Short ram) to a V2 on my Si and I noticed a gain from about 4000rpm-redline. I didn't have any problems with hydrolocking eirther. It's my opinion that if you don't fully submerge the filter, you wont hydrolock the engine. Anyway, I'd recommend the V2 if you have money to spend, or the regular AEM CAI if you don't feel like spending $250. The SRI would be if you're paranoid.
