Default how easy is it to remove and get my throttle body bored out

I own a 97 accord ex and i am looking for small ways to improve horsepower and performance. I decided not to purchase headers since everything i hear says my manifold is pretty damn good. I was introduced by someone to get my throttle body bored out by a professional for 100$. Is this a good idea and how the hell do i go about removing something of that sort. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

for optimum gains, youll also want the ITM ported and polished.....wouldnt be a bad idea to do the same on the head.....

If you have the basic I/H/E upgrades you'll still see and feel a slight gain from a 2mm overbore...even without porting the manifold...

but if you portmatch the TB opening on the manifold you'll feel a little more of a power increase as well... but it's a decent mod without doing that...just don't expect miracles...

It's pretty easy to take it off... you take off a few vac hoses, the cable and rotor and it's 4 bolts... you might want to track down another F22B1 TB so you don't have any down time but if you can live with the week or so of not having the car then no need...

a cheaper alternative might be to track down an H22A or H23A1 TB and just use that since it is 2mm bigger than the F series Tb's to begin with... and you could always overbore that 1mm or 2 later after more supporting mods...but I don't know the compatibility of the F22B1's all that well since I am a die hard Non VTECer... you'd have to look into it yourself...

but anyways... I was very happy with my JG overbored F22 TB and transfered it over to my new motor...good mod IMO...

If you are asking this question, it means you will be disappointed with this mod. Save this for after you have bumped CR and have some cams/real header.
