Can I install a Voltage Indicator in my car?
like the topic... is there a way to connect a digital voltage indicator/meter perminantly somewhere to monitor the charge/voltage running through my system either from the battery to all or the connection to the amplifier if there is a difference.....
I have a pretty serious sound system in my car.
I also question my car's powersources because of this.. still stock 70amp (2000 civic ex) and still stock battery. My lights on occassion dim, and arent as bright as I remember.
I know I eventually need a new battery, and at least a 120amp alternator to be about right to cover my amp on full blast without worrying about drain in a standstill... but I really want to install a monitor so I can better monitor my system's fluxuations and running voltages.

well geee imagine that, google turned up an answer.. you know, you can find anything in google, including how to install a K series engine in a honda....
But people still come to HT to find that info.. why? because directly talking to people about it in certain applications is more effective and trustworthy...
I dont want some new guy also on honda tech, in a help forum that will pop up on google as well... to tell me to go someplace else...
I wanted to find an answer from someone willing to share, or explain in more detail for my unique car... so thank you Mr helpful.
If anyone else wants to jump on the postwhore bandwagon and put something stupid like Google, just dont respond.
But please anyone who has done this, give me suggestions as to the parts, and how they would go about installation in a 2000 civic EX 2 door. If no one has, Ill be sure to try to do it this winter if I have the money, and write a nice DIY.
