Mugen B-pipe damage. Worth it to get it fixed ??
Here's the deal, I bought a used twin-loop which already had a bit of damage on the b-pipe and I pretty much finished fugging-it-up on a speed bump (see pictures) .. The exhaust was a good deal and the axle-back was in like new condition which was what I was really interested in. Anyway, I already switched to a T1R b-pipe but I wonder if its worth it to fix the Mugen b-pipe ?? The pipe runs fine, there are no leaks and fits perfectly but It will probably need to have the resonator cut-out and replaced some time down the roead.
BTW, how much would a pipe in this condition be worth ?? Thanks guys !!

Best advise I could offer...
Find out if there is another resonator that is the same size then cut out and replace.
Probably could do it yourself and save a bunch of cash.
Good luck.

Hey Rob !! Stop complaining !! I'll fix the pic in a moment
I'm not looking to put this back on my car but rather see if its worth fixing to sell or just to have it fixed in case I ever want to sell the complete cat-back .. It will probably get tossed up somewhere in my garage and forgotten

without a resonantor, it will be loud as hell.
as bbasso recommended, if you can find the same size resonantor, cut out the old and put in new.

Replace with a straight piece of pipe and forget about it. It won't be much louder, so don't sweat that.
Local muffler shop should be able to do that for about $40.

I had the same problem when I had my car. I ended up makeing it a straight pipe. I rane JDM header, testpipe, straight b-pipe, and Mugen muffler. It wasn;t very loud, but sounded good. I will see if i can dig up my sound clip.
I still have the Mugen resonator in my garage. justa small ding in it. if you want to replace yours shoot me an offer.

I had the same issue with my Mugen B-pipe.
It doesn't affect flow - all you have done is squished the steel wool in the resonator

So far, I'm loving the T1R b-pipe with Mugen TL combo .. As far as this Mugen b-pipe, I've pretty much decided to put it away somewhere in my garage.. I don't want to throw it away cause its still in good condition and totally useable, besides, its Mugen bling !! I kind of figured I wasn't the only one with this problem .. Thanks for the feedback
can't tell from pictures.. and i dont really know how deep insulation goes on the inside.. but it looks like this shouldn't cause any performance issues. if its leaking you could patch it up with exhaust paste.. a quick/cheap fix
otherwise..
1. cut it out and replace with another resonator (straight through unless your exhaust is too loud as it is..)
2. cut it out and replace with straighpipe.. and you can do it yourself
