i recently cracked my oil pan ... 4 hours ago... and its a b18 ls... what type of oil pan should i get? some said that all b series oil pans are the same... but some say that the b16 is a little shallower... and the type r is larger... so i gotta take this to a thread and i need to know asap...

 

For an OE rplacement, get an LS pan. Should be about 125$$

 

Get the stock oil pan..They're everwhere. junkyards,,ebay,here

 

see i was looking for a shallower oil pan cuz my engine sits lower than ussual... I mean as an ls... its supposed to be hitting the hood right? thats what was happening to my friends cars... but for me I got about a half inch clearance... and when I got my engine installed it had to have a racing crank pully because it was cutting into the cross bar... oh man...

anyway... i need a shallower pan or i will be buying oil pans every six months
