From: hittin corners so hard you can taste my rims..
i wish i took pics before it fixed, but i had bought a set of SSR type X's, and one was curbed, and cracked on the bead.
i took it to a local billet wheel shop that makes wheels and addapters, and he added material and then spun the wheel.
other than it looking like complete ***, since i want to paint all 6 at the same time, it spins like new.. and smoooth! worth every bit of the 100 bucks i paid.

So what only get wheels for your queer *** car shows?
Wheels are meant to be used and abused that is why high quality wheels are made to such exacting specifications.

... that statement is retarded. Use more caution when you drive and things like that don't happen. ADVAN, Work, ADR whatever... don't aim for curbs and it won't happen.

each and every one of us are aware that if we buy expensive rims, we know all the consequences to come from it. If my wheels get thrash, so be it, of course like aLL STar says don't aim for curbs and it won't happen

I run my Gram Lights on the street... the finish on those things is TOUGH!!!
sorry to hear about the damage... I'd buy another wheel, and keep the curbed one as a full size spart. that's what a pimp would do anyways.

It's not about driving like a *****, it's about not hitting curbs. I know a lot of people that drive hard and don't curb wheels. Race wheels, stock wheels, spinners, whatever... don't hit curbs and you won't curb your wheels. It's really not that hard to understand.
I'm running 195/50's on 15x8.5's with a slight tire stretch and I've never come close to running up on a curb.

How ironic, i accidentally curbed one of my bro's Gram Light's when i was learning how to drive stick. His ebay short shifter snapped in half, so he just had his shift **** sitting on top of the broken shifter. When i went to shift, i couldn't tell if i was in a gear or not (the stupid shift **** wobbled regardless), so the car rolled back and SCRAPPPEEE, a 1 inch curb mark. Luckily it was minor.
Haven't been near any curbs since
