Default MOTOR SWAPIN' ?'S

OK, I'M A NEWBIE, AND I HAD SOME QUESTIONS ON SWAPPIN'. I HAVE A 95 SOHCNON VTEC W/AUTO. THAT BEING SAID I HAVE A SMALL BUGET ALSO. H22'S ARE SUPER $$$$$ DOES TWO CAMS MAKE THAT MUCH DIFFERENCE? I KNOW I NEED VTEC WHATEVER WAY I GO. WILL MY TRANNY FIT AN H22? I DON'T HAVE THE CASH TO DO IT ALL AT ONCE(MOTOR/TRANNY)? ALSO WHAT DO I NEED TO LOOK FOR IF I DECIDE TO GET A SALVAGE YARD MOTOR? HOW MUCH TROUBLE IS VTEC TO WIRE? I PLAN ON DOING THIS ALL MYSELF SO ANY AND ALL HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS

Doing it all yourself? Good luck. But about the rest of it, well, your car has about 145 bhp. And a JDM H22A4 has about 210. If you want a new motor, expect to pay upwards of $5000 just for the motor. There is no point on swapping the engine now and then swapping a transmission. I'm sure you want a manual, so just do it all at once, it will save you lots of hassle. Besides, I dont think an F22 tranny is compatable with an H22, but I am may be wrong. But I am no expert at this and I'm sure you'll get lots of responses from guys that have H22 motors. And again, good luck on doing it yourself.
