Default 04 v6 accord exhaust

just wondering if anyone knows when an exhaust is coming out for the v6 ex 04 accord... would you go with mufflers meantime or just wait for exhaust.. heard possible problems in loosing the smoothness of ride & the power.... any opinions are appreciated...

Default Re: 04 v6 accord exhaust (N_Patel7)

Personally I went with an exhaust shop, they mandrel bent tubing for me and welded a magnaflow muffler on and it sounds great and I gained some low end tq. This method was a little cheaper than waiting/ordering a "name brand" exhaust (dc, apex etc). Mine cost me 250 installed....versus 400+ for a name brand one.

With the V6 you could go with 2.5" or 3" tubing and dual mufflers as to keep "stock flow" and you wouldn't have a cutout with nothing there.

Do not just get a muffler, most people that do this their car's exhaust sounds raspy and basically like ****; if you're going to do it....do it right. Check out the "guide to basic accords" at the top of the forum it has a great exhaust section among others.
